SUPER MARIO MAKER NEWS FLASH

Well, Super Mario Maker is really, really popular nowadays. If y'all could please, PLEASE give me all your course names, I.D.s, and such, and I'll share mine via comments!

The whole NEWS FLASH part is the MASSIVE new update. Mushroom/flowers, official makers, event courses, and of course, CHECKPOINTS!!!! I'll tell you how to get these updates in effect. This information was originally from a Gamexplain video (I really love your guys' channel!) so here we go.

  • To get a checkpoint, shake an arrow sign until it becomes a checkpoint flag.
  • To launch the "Bug Swatter" mini-game, there is now a second way: continually shake a Muncher until a whopping-big bug-like thing appears on screen. Tap it, and the game is launched! The other way is to just shake a wood block until a bunch of bugs pop out.
  • To get the Flower/Mushroom, drag a Mushroom over a Fire Flower and place the resulting combination in a "?" block. If you are small Mario, you get a Super Mushroom, but if you are already Super Mario, you get a Fire Flower!
  • To see Event Courses, just go to Course World and tap Toad. For Official Makers, go to Makers and select Official.
So there you have it. Mario Maker, version 1.20-1.21! I have 1.21, so just bear that in mind. At the time the Gamexplain video was launched, I saw they had 1.20, so either way works. Have fun playing Mario Maker!
Gamerlord, OUT!

GLITCH!!!

We've all heard of glitches before: when the programing of a game acts weird and either the graphics, rules, or the game itself becomes bent and broken. Also, most of us know that The Legend of Zelda, first released in 1986, was the first video game to have a "save" feature. Well, even though Super Mario Bros. 3 was released four years later, it still did not harbor the tech to "save" your game. Well, recently, I was trying to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii but the disc is apparently broken. I had downloaded two other games on this particular Wii, one of them being Super Mario Bros. 3. When I entered the game, I expected the usual pixelated curtain to lift up from the bottom of the screen. But the "Home" menu popped up, which I soon exited. What lay before me was a view of level 2-3 and a word splayed across the screen, saying the game was paused. Now, I haven't played this game since I was maybe seven, so I was a bit rusty. But just to think that I had accidentally found a way to save your progress on a game which you otherwise can't is amazing to me. Other glitches are great, like infinite coins, lives, world "-1" in the original NES hit... the list goes on and on. But twisting the game to benchmark your progress when you usually can't? A whole 'nother story. Apparently, what I did was the following: 1) Paused the game in the middle of a level (I was on 2-3), and 2) exited the software. This might work with the Nes or Famicom, but for best results, use a Wii and download the game as a Nintendo Software app.
That's all for this time around, but if you have in mind any glitches that you've seen or experienced and others might not have, feel free to comment on what those are, and I may just feature them in a future post. Gamerlord, out!

Super Mario Maker, Mortal Kombat X, Minecraft 1.9...

The possibilities are limitless. Who knows how far gaming may go?

Sorry I haven't been getting to you that often. I guess all the new games coming out have kind of got me obsessing and a bit sidetracked. But no need to worry! Today, I am asking you this: what new game do you wish to get more than anything? Mine is that LEGO Dimensions game. Post in the comments below!

Splatoon. Claimed to be "Nintendo's ultimate messfest" under any occasion. But are you having trouble playing? Here's some tips and tricks, minor, major, mediocre as they can be. Take my advice, and you'll have loads of fun once more!

ONLINE BATTLES:

  • If you want to stay undercover to invade the enemy base, ink a path in front of you and go squid form up the path.
  • If an arrow points to your location with a player's name swirling around it, get out of there! It gives your location away so your enemies know where you are.
  • To properly use the Seeker sub weapon, hold the [R] button until a little yellow symbol appears on the enemy, and release the button [R]!
  • If you see an arrow pointing to the ground in the enemy's color, stand close but not too close and wait for the enemy to appear, and open fire!
  • In Ranked Battles, control the splat zones and keep the enemies within firing range but yourself out of theirs. Ideal when using a Splatterscope, Splat Charger, etc.
That's all for today.

Minecraft is a good building game and a great survival RPG. Need some minor, major, or mediocre tips? Look no further.

  • To save blocks while making a bridge, leave one-block-wide gaps in the flooring. These you can dash over later.
  • Diamonds are most commonly found at Y: 11, so your best bet of getting yourself a handful is to go to Y: 11 and start strip mining.
  • Pumpkins can be worn as headgear. Doing this and looking straight at an enderman will not, as it usually would, provoke it to attack you. Bring them to The End for a boost in your chance of survival.
  • Glowstone and Jack-o-Lanters illuminate the area even if you place them underwater.
  • If you find a gigantic tower of sand or gravel, eliminate the bottom block and quickly replace it with a torch. All the blocks above it will become drops once they touch the torch.
  • To illuminate a long strand of space, place a redstone source block anywhere, say at the beginning of a tunnel, and place redstone in a trail. The stuff lights up, but at the end of the fifteen-block range, place another redstone source block to keep the trail going.
  • My favorite tip is about creepers. If you get a creeper lured into an iron door trap, place a rose at one corner of the trap and a dandelion at the opposite corner. After a few, say five, seconds, break the trap and let it follow you. It will follow you but not explode.

What is your favorite video game? I need to know because then I can provide satisfaction guarantee. That's all.

Time-traveling. A feat wanted to be achieved by many. For a group of humanlike animals, it is but a hop in the van and a drive to the unknown. If you know what game I am talking about, then look no further than here for tips and tricks (as minor as they may be) to succeeding in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Specifications, abilities, all right here. If these do not help you, or any information seems wrong, there is a comments box right below you.

  • First of all, if a bulky guard holding a light sees you, your only hope is to run away except if you are Murray or Bob, or a skilled fighter.
  • As Bentley (Hacking) in the ninja turtle mode, acquiring a bomb gives you the option to apply a fatal splash attack. When fighting the CPU core, you must get the thing within your range, or the bomb will have been wasted. You can hold a maximum of three of these murder weapons.
  • When stealing a treasure and returning it to the hideout, use the Thief Costume as Sly to make the speed of travel much easier.
  • In any case, try not to be seen by guards to make the trip much easier.
  • As Murray in the boss battle against The Grizz, you can punch at the stone in between two blocks of ice and the two surrounding blocks can be punched in. This can only work if two ice blocks are only separated by one stone and cannot work if three are separated this way.
  • As Bentley, use Sleep Ammo to put enemies  to sleep for about five to ten seconds, making being sneaky much easier.
  • If you sprint, you can be heard by guards.
That's all for now. Below, my favorite Minecraft video of all time! Fallen Kingdom, a parody to Viva La Vida by Coldplay!

That is me when something epic happens. In fact, that's how I feel my whole life. I don't just like gaming. It's in my blood. I can feel it every step of the way toward the television to play another round of Splatoon, or to my iPad to make sure that Barry Steakfries has one heck of a joyride on that laser jetpack. I truly am the Gamer Lord.
Favorite game? Splatoon. Favorite console? Wii U. Publisher? Nintendo, no contest. I'll get more interactive, ask your favorite games, administrate polls, show some clips of gaming in action, and a bunch of other stuff, so just hang tight! Below, my personal favorite weapon in Splatoon! Enjoy! Just know, more is coming!

I'll post something at least once a week, and even then I'm not that good at remembering stuff. Maybe some Minecraft music videos. For some real music videos, and more epic stuff, visit the tune it out post at www.tuneitoutblog.blogspot.com/ and be ready to be amazed!
